There was a company in great hayward that used to come round in a car and you could choose films from there boot.
As for video shops there was weston road, newport road, wolverhampton road, parkside, creswell, marston road ( where i worked )and one of the best for horror films was jenko`s shop.
Out of all of these shops newport road was one of the first to close down, parkside closed down and a few years later had another one in a bigger shop up there.
Wolverhampton road had loads of classic videos and top shelf stuff ;)
Weston road was a great shop i rented out loads of horror films from there and used to have mates round to watch them. They also had the famous "list" which was under the counter porn.
Marston road had a good choice and if you knew me you could have them for free lol.
One thing i regret is that when the shops started to close down i didnt purchase the old classics that are now worth 100`s of pounds ...
Classics like the beast in heat i have seen sold for £300 !!!

I have bought and sold a fair few in my time and made profit on them all, only wish i had kept them though now for nostalga and the fact that films like evil dead looked better on VHS than DVD as it was more grainy and looked like horror should be.
